Great features for the price

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal. I got the VidToon 2.1 during a promotional period, and it felt like a significant saving. The features included, like the Royalty Free Music Tracks and Transition Effects, really added value. I was pleasantly surprised by how much was packed in for what I paid. It felt like a smart purchase for my budget.

Excellent video software!

I got VidToon 2.1 and it's fantastic! The Drag and Drop Editor is so easy to use, even for someone like me. I made a cool video with Animated Text Overlays and some Sound Effects in no time. I'll definitely be buying more upgrades from them in the future!

Good value, minor bugs

I purchased VidToon 2.1 recently. The drag-and-drop interface is pretty intuitive, which was a big plus for getting started quickly. The library of HD Backgrounds and 2D Animated Characters is decent for the price point. My main issue was with the Text to Speech Engine; it sounded a bit robotic, and I had to do some extra editing to make it sound natural. Delivery of the access was instant, which was good.

Comprehensive tool for creators

I bought VidToon 2.1 after comparing it with a few competitors. The ordering process was straightforward on their site. I received access credentials via email within minutes, and downloading the software was quick. Setting it up on my Windows machine was simple enough. I've been using the Character Customization and Scene Templates quite a bit. The Multi-language TTS is a nice feature, although some languages sound better than others. I created a short explainer video for a client, and the MP4 Video Export worked flawlessly. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about the Commercial Rights License, took about a day to hear back. Overall, it's a solid tool for anyone serious about creating animated content.

Consistent and reliable

This isn't my first time buying from VidToon; I grabbed the VidToon Agency license a while back and just added the Stock Video Library. Like before, the process was smooth, and access was granted immediately. Their training tutorials are always helpful for new features. It's consistently reliable for my video projects, which is why I keep coming back. No surprises, which is a good thing in my book.

Is VidToon easy to pick up if I'm not a tech wizard? I've never really made animated videos before.

S Sophie D. 2 months ago
It's pretty drag and drop. Honestly, I'm not super techy either and found it pretty intuitive after messing around for an hour or so. They have tutorials too which help a lot.

Compared to like, Vyond or something, it's way simpler. The pre-animated stuff makes it easy to just get going without needing to draw everything yourself.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows if VidToon ever goes on sale? Like a good lifetime deal or something, or should I just buy it now?

D Derek 2 months ago
Yeah, they totally do! I got my lifetime license during a Black Friday sale last year. Keep an eye out around those times or new product launches. Sometimes their affiliate partners have special one-time payment deals too.

I think I saw something about early bird pricing for 2.1 a while back. So yeah, definitely deals pop up. Not sure if there's one right now though.

Does VidToon work on a Mac? Or is it just a Windows thing? Don't wanna buy it and find out I can't use it.

T Tara 1 month ago
Yep, works on Mac and Windows. I'm on a Mac myself and haven't had any issues with it.

Confirmed, runs fine on my MacBook Pro. Just make sure your system meets the basic requirements for it, should be listed somewhere on their site.

what's the deal with the 'commercial license'? Can I actually use videos I make for clients or does that cost extra?

P Phil F. 2 months ago
Yeah, the commercial license is specifically for that. It means you can make videos for other businesses and charge them for it. It's usually a separate purchase or included in a higher tier.

Mine came with a commercial license, I think it was part of the bundle deal I grabbed. So yeah, you can totally use it for client work.

Anyone know how VidToon compares to Toonly? I'm trying to decide between the two for explainer videos.

L Laura S. 2 months ago
Toonly is more focused on the whiteboard style, kinda like Doodly. VidToon is more 2D animation with characters and backgrounds, more like Powtoon or Animaker. Depends on the look you're going for.

R Rosa 2 months ago
I've used both. VidToon feels a bit more modern with its assets and effects, and the text-to-speech is pretty decent. Toonly is good too, but sometimes the character options feel a bit limited for what I need.
